Loving Our Community

excited about Today & tomorrow

My wife Diane and I are life-long residents in the Portland community; and we appreciate the opportunities God has given us to enjoy life here in Portland, Tennessee.

We met at the old Dairy Dip and skating rink in Portland (now the Portland police station), fell in love and married as teenagers; and have been married over 40 years.

Diane and I surrendered our lives to the Lord together, were baptized together, and then began serving in ministry together, as we continue to do to this day.

I have been interested in politics and government since childhood and am thankful for my wife’s support while I serve in office. It has been a great honor and blessing to listen, learn, lead, and serve in my hometown; and we have made so many wonderful friends during this journey.

We have tried to love on this community over the years with a Christ-like attitude; and I hope the Lord allows us many more years of service in our community.
